Features:
Hardinge Collet Index Fixtures provide a quick and accuragte method of chucking and indexing work. Fixtures are planned to be applied interchangeably on the sub-base or on the table of milling machines, grinders, shapers, and drill presses.
The spindle takes 1" capacity 5C Collets and has a hardened and ground index plate with 24 holes to give 15 degree spacings. Index holes and index pin have 8 degree included angle taper for positioning and locking. The index pin is spring backed for quick location in the index holes.
In addition the HV-4 has a hardened and ground index plate with preselecting arrangement. A collet closer with 100 to 1 leverage to facilitate rapid chucking of work on a production basis. Ratchet device for rotating the spindle rapidly when indexing. Base for operation in either a horizontal or vertical position.
