Antique Chinese, Signed, High Relief Multi-Figural Porcelain Snuff Bottle
This wonderful, colorful little bottle measures 7 cm high x 5.5 cm wide x over 3 cm thick. It is molded in high relief with scenes of 8 people all around. One is riding an elephant. One is riding another creature I can't figure out. One holds up a red flag or banner, while two are holding round objects, and one is pushing what looks like a carriage. They all seem to be busy doing something. The base is marked with a red mark of several characters. It is in good condition except for a chip on the rim, which looks like it was gilded all around at one time (see photo), and a small chip on the base. It is also missing its stopper.
